The purpose of this page is to share news of specific interest to Boaters, both power and sail.

• Rear Commodore Johan has established an account with Fisheries Supply, in Seattle that entitles all SBYC members to a discount on purchases. The discount varies with the purchased items or services. See more on the Members Pages/Documents.
• The 2012 Cruising Calendar is out and posted on the Cruising Page.
• When heading out on a cruise, please remember to notify the John Wayne Marina Harbormaster Ron Amundson of the availability of your slip for reciprocal and transient moorage. • Boat Owners Association of The United States (Boat US) is an organization working to provide savings, service and representation to the boating community.  Members have access to a towing fleet from coast to coast, a network of on-the-road towers for trailer boaters, an insurance policy with coverage designed specifically for recreational boaters, a network of marinas providing discounts to Members across the country, and more. Before you renew your membership or submit an application for membership, get a discount by going to the Discounts Page in the Members Section for the SBYC-BoatUS Group Number.
