Cruising

The SBYC Cruise Director works with Club members and the cruise planners of the North Olympic Sail & Power Squadron and the Port Angeles Yacht Club to outline a cruise program for the following year. This plan will be presented to the membership no later than the January General Meeting providing cruises in which any member of the three organizations can participate.

The Cruise Director for 2012 is George Brown, who is  responsibe for coordinating our Cruise Shedule with other Clubs in the area. George can be contacted at cruise@sequimbayyachtclub.org .

The schedule is above and will be a posted on the bulletin board in the Club room. When you wish to go on a cruise, sign up in the usual manner (i.e. use the sign-up sheets at the club meetings or on the Power Squadron website www.calmseas.org).

  • On the Top-Left menu bar of the NOSPS home page click “Cruises”.
  • After clicking on “Register”, you will need to sign-in with your SBYC Member Number in the Certificate box and create your own password.
  • You will get an acknowledgement, click continue and choose the “Cruise Menu” option from the Header Menu Bar, not the boxed options.
  • Follow the selections an easy to navigate menu for all you need about the Joint Cruising plans, to both register your boat, if not already listed, and to sign-up for cruises. 
  • If a Cruise Captain is listed call her/him to advise of your signing up.

IMPORTANT:When heading out on a cruise, please remember to notify the John Wayne Marina Harbormaster Ron Amundson of the availability of your slip for reciprocal and transient moorage. Without available member slips, SBYC is charged for moorage by visiting reciprocal club members.  JWM Transient Assignment Form
