The founders of the El Toro racing fleet are Bruce Von Borstel, Rudy Heesels and Jim Conachen. Jim said, “Currently we have seven boats and one being built. It was suggested that we use the new fleet as a beginners/starter program for women and kids wanting to learn to sail. Two of our boats will be loaners. We have a building class, patterns and a build manual available for those wanting to build their our El Toro.” Alan Clark is also pictured.
